Skylight Healthcare adds Several Prestigious New Hospitals to its Growing Partner List

(San Diego CA) - March 2006 -- San Diego-based Skylight Healthcare Systems reported today new contract agreements to install its ACCESS(SM) Interactive Patient System (formerly called GetWellTV) at nearly a dozen leading hospitals across the nation. These new hospital contracts secure Skylight’s prestigious reputation as the leader in interactive patient system technology.

Skylight’s ACCESS Interactive Patient System transforms hospital televisions sets into multimedia experiences for patients, allowing hospitals to create a much more customer-focused, empowered environment. The System enables a customized hospital room communication, education and entertainment platform designed to greatly enhance patient and staff satisfaction at hospitals. Core product applications specifically facilitate continuous access to key hospital information, health education on demand, automated room comfort service requests, real-time patient surveying and more. A messaging service also allows specific hospital content, such as welcome messages, patient safety videos and informed consent information, to be automatically delivered to patient room televisions. Available digital entertainment provides on demand movies, cable TV, music, Internet, e-mail and games. Integration with dietary and other hospital service providers, as well as optional high-speed Internet portals are also available.

New Hospital Partners
The system will be installed at Stanford Medical Center, throughout the Palo Alto facility. Recognized as one of "America's Best Hospitals" by U.S. News & World Report, Stanford is known worldwide for advanced patient care. This contract follows Skylight Healthcare’s existing relationship with Lucile Packard Children’s Hospital at Stanford.

Glenwood Regional Medical Center will install the ACCESS Interactive Patient System in its Northern Louisiana facility. Ranked by HealthGrades in the top 5% nationally for cardiac surgery and top 10% for overall cardiac care and cardiology, Glenwood was the first accredited chest pain center in North Louisiana.

Catholic Healthcare West has also signed agreements with Skylight Healthcare for two if its facilities: The under construction Mercy Gilbert Medical Center, located in Gilbert, AZ. Mercy Gilbert Medical Center is currently 85 percent complete and is scheduled for a June 2006 opening. And, the Mercy San Juan Medical Center in Carmichael, CA. Mercy San Juan Medical Center is currently a 260-bed medical center with a $100 million expansion scheduled to bring 100 new patient beds to north Sacramento and south Placer County by the year 2008.

Parrish Medical Center, one of America's finest healing environments, and Skylight Healthcare Systems, are also working together. The majority of Parrish Medical Center’s patient rooms will be equipped with this contemporary in-room system, beginning this spring.

Milwaukee’s Aurora Sinai Medical Center, home to many of the region's leading healthcare programs, will add innovative patient services and amenities using Skylight’s ACCESS Interactive Patient System. Aurora’s 155 patient rooms will be equipped with this state-of-the-art in-room system. Already an award winner for clinical excellence, Aurora Sinai recently won the prestigious 2005 Premier Award for quality.

Providence St. Peter Hospital will install the ACCESS Interactive Patient System in patient rooms at their Olympia, Washington hospital. Providence St. Peter Hospital has been named one of the 100 Top Hospitals in the nation for cardiology, orthopedics and stroke care. Beginning this spring, most of Providence St. Peter Hospital’s nearly 400 rooms will be equipped with the interactive bedside system.

Florida-based Health First’s three not-for-profit hospitals, Cape Canaveral Hospital in Cocoa Beach, Holmes Regional Medical Center in Melbourne, and Palm Bay Community Hospital in Palm Bay will also join the ranks of Skylight Healthcare clients.
